Our tutor that we interviewed is named Lauren Kane, She is from Winchester Va.
She attends UVA . She chose UVA because her parents went there also since she lived in Virginia she got the state cost. Her major is Government and one day she hopes to be a white house aid or maybe go to law school and become a lawyer.
College Life: Lauren goes to UVA, her major is Government. Her favorite class is sociology because its interesting and it talks about how things are in society and why. The most difficult class for her is Arabic. It’s hard but there isn't much work. She likes her teachers but she doesn't get to know them because there’s like 400 people in a class. Her favorite part about being in college is being more independent.
Lauren told us we need to have good writing skills, we need to be hard workers, and get good SAT scores. She also told us that to prepare for college we would need to take AP classes, extracurricular classes, and volunteer. The colleges she considered was JMU, VT., UVA, and Mary Washington but she chose UVA because it was the best academically and it was very beautiful. The kind of classes she has taken was AP calculus, writing and science but science isn't her thing.
